GOALS

As it was my idea, I will start the goal setting. I have one goal. Consistency...I go from great to good to lets kill him..This round I want to be up and strong for the majority of shows. Now lets hear from the rest of our team...

You took the words right out of my mouth. That is exactly how I feel about our first round of shows. I feel I must find a way to maintain (at bare minimum) a solid level of performance in each and every show. I guess what I mean to say is, I would like to have what I've considered to be a solid medium level show, turn into what I consider to be a bottom level show. I guess you could say that I would like to raise the bar in what I give to an audience. I'm in no way saying that I know what I need to do to make that happen just yet, but I hope to find that with this group.

My goals for this six months are pretty broad. Like Vic, I think my consistency is something to work on. Also, as someone who has never taken an acting class and doesn't come from a theater background, I don't think I really create characters all that well and would like to work on that. Finally, I would like to get over being nervous on-stage. Hopefully, being on stage some more will help.

My goal(s) would be as follows:
1.) To take big risks when it comes to creating characters, scenes, conversations, etc.
2.) Jump into the minds of these characters I create so that I truly feel like I am them, not just Adam doing his impression of them. It's something I haven't done since college theater.
3.) Consistency. Unless I start out bad. Then work up to great, and then consistency.

I want to work on gaining confidence and creating characters. I want solid, confident, strong characters!

So it sounds like we are creating goals for ourselves, eh?

My goal this time is to bleed on Larry's shirt in retaliation from a show in the last round. Just kidding.

I want to develop more points of view...and then stick with them throughout the course of the scene. Sometimes I have a decent point of view entering a scene and then drop it eventually. I want to hold onto it for the duration of the scene.

I also want to become more physical and actional. I used to be better at this, and for some reason I have tapered off with that skill set.

Related to that, I want to loosen up my body, trying different physicalities. It has been something in the back of my mind for awhile. Hell, Mick Napier noted me on that last summer when he was here, and he saw me for all of ten minutes.

Okay, enough for now.

My goal is to create a more creative memory. If that makes sense. I want to get better at just jumping and "selling it".
Also, to be able to create a want faster so that the character background can develop faster. I need to just let go and let my mind and mouth work together.
